CILECT: 1st place for "Anatomy of a Czech Afternoon" and 3rd place for "Love is Just a Death Away"
Films Anatomy of a Czech Afternoon by Adam Martinec from the Department of Directing and Love Is Just a Death Away by Bára Anna Stejskalová from the Department of Animated Film won a competition of film schools from all over the world, organized by the International Association of Film and Television Schools CILECT (Center international de liaison des écoles cinema and television). In the fiction category, the film Anatomy of a Czech Afternoon won the most points of all the films and thus placed first. The film Love Is Just a Death Away placed in a third place in the animation category. This year, 116 film schools took part in the competition. Congratulations.
The CILECT award is one of the hbiggest that a film school can achieve. In the past, the following FAMU films have won this award:
2020 – 1st place in the category Animation - "Daughter" by Daria Kashcheeva (at the same time, the film received the most points of all films across all categories - fiction, documentary and animated film - by up to half the lead)
2018 - 3rd place in the category Animation - "Fruits of Clouds" directed by Kateřina Karhánková
2016 - 2nd place in the category Animation - "Happy End" directed by Jan Saska
2014 - 1st place in the category Animation - "Mythopolis" directed by Alexandra Hetmerová
2011 - 1st place in the category Animation - "Graffitiger" directed by Libor Pixa
