FAMU STUDENTS WIN THE CZECH LION AWARDS

The Czech Lion Awards of the Czech Film and Television Academy were bestowed for the 30^th time on Saturday 4 March 2023.

We would like to use this opportunity and congratulate Damián Vondrášek from the Department of Directing, producer and FAMU graduate Martina Netíková and the entire crew that made Rites. The film has won the Czech Lion Award in the best short film category.

The Czech Lion Awards include the Magnesia Award for the best student film. This year, the award went to Martin Kuba from the Department of Directing for Vinland. Producer of the film is Natália Pavlove.

We would also like to congratulate our graduates on their awards and nominations: for example, fresh Department of Documentary Film graduate Adéla Komrzý along with Tomáš Bojar have won the Czech Lion for the best documentary with their Art Talent Show.
