How to apply for ERASMUS exchange

Deadline of the submission of applications and requirements for 2023/2024 

The deadlines for applications are May 15, 2023 and October 31, 2023.

May 15, 2023 serves as the deadline for both academic terms – fall term and spring term of 2023/2024 academic year – and for one academic year exchanges as well. The results of the application process will be announced till mid-June

October 31, 2023 is the additional deadline for spring term 2024! The results will be announced till the end of November.

However, FAMU prefers two-semestral stays and will give a preferency to them. We want to offer to the participants the most of practical exercises as possible. 

The official Exchange application form should be accompanied by: 
CV 
motivation letter 
on-line presentation of the student’s audiovisual portfolio – document containing a link to a portfolio

During the admission process FAMU admission committee seeks for professional skills namely in the field of sound design, editing, set design and costume design.

The Application form can be downloaded at the bottom of this page. (To be filled on computer, please.) Applicants will be informed via e-mail in mid-June whether or not they have been accepted. The duration of the program is either one semester (please notify clearly if you apply for fall or spring) or one academic year (fall + spring).

Please note that every applicant must be nominated by their university coordinator.

Courses and language of tuition 

In accordance with the regulations of the Erasmus+ program students may attend the theoretical lectures and seminars that are accredited at FAMU. These lectures are common to both the Erasmus and the FAMU International study programs. 
Production of the personal projects is not possible within the exchange stay, however participation in the projects of the others is more than welcome and also granted with credits.

Applicants need to be aware that FAMU cannot provide housing in Prague.
