Tacit dialectical relationships between the public and the private could be successfully uncovered through curatorial frameworks. Postmodern critical and analytical theoretical and artistic exercises highlighted failings of modernistic theories and practices that claimed to provide solutions. Through case studies, examples will be proposed to suggest that curatorial strategies can create platforms on which a more cohesive understanding of given terminology and artistic practices is possible.
Miloslav Vorlicek is a curator and one of the directors of the ‘lítost’ gallery, Prague. Miloslav’s main curatorial focus is based around the subjects of process and etymology. Before he started working on lítost in 2016, Vorlíček co-run curatorial project called ‘Life Agency’ that specialised in a public programme. Miloslav is a graduate of MA Curating Contemporary Art, Royal College of Art (2014) and BA (Hons) Fine Art, Goldsmiths – University of London (2011).
